by Jeff Hutcheson, Director Advocacy & Public Policy |

TESOL International Association, in a joint submission with WIDA  and the Center for Applied Linguistics, supplied recommendations as part of the Public Comment Solicitation on the U.S. NAEP Writing Assessment Framework for 2030.

These recommendations support multilingual learners of English (MLE) in the U.S. educational system as part of the National Assessment of Educational Program (NAEP), which serves as the "Nation's Report Card," reporting on educational progress across ten subjects at the 4th, 8th, and 12th grade levels.

More information on the public comment period may be found here. The deadline to submit is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 13 January 2023.
