TESOL Reaffirms its Solidarity with the Global Community During COVID-19 Pandemic

by David Cutler |

As the international community continues to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, TESOL International Association (TESOL) recognizes the hardships and tragedies that many of its members and their families are coping with in countries around the world. TESOL offers its thoughts of hope and resiliency for the future, and grieves with those in the most severely impacted of nations, such as India and Brazil, where scores of teachers have died from COVID-19 in the last several weeks alone and the education of millions of students has been put on hold.

It is especially during these ever-changing and difficult times that TESOL reaffirms is commitment to serving the needs of not just its members, but every English language teacher around the world. TESOL has continued to update its collection of free COVID-19 resources for educators, and will always strive to advocate on the behalf of English language teachers to world leaders and policymakers.
