TESOL Joins the Coalition for the American Dream to Protect Dreamers

by Jeff Hutcheson, Director Advocacy & Public Policy |

TESOL has joined the Coalition for the American Dream, with over 80 other organizations, in voicing support for a legislative solution to protect Dreamers. With the invalidation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals on 5 October, a bipartisan Congressional solution is needed to provide Dreamers, who are currently living and working within communities throughout the U.S., protection from deportation and a path to citizenship.

This letter by the Coalition for the American Dream demonstrates the widespread support for such a solution that will aid Dreamers. Please consider urging your senator to support the Dream Act, bipartisan legislation that will protect current and future Dreamers.
